Attendees will learn the basic techniques needed to place and finish steel-troweled floors for residential and light commercial projects. Discussions will review "best practices" and "tips" for installing a high-quality, steel-troweled floor. Every step, from ordering concrete to curing, will be covered; special emphasis on understanding proper timing sequence for each finishing step will also be addressed. Attendees will walk away with the knowledge and insight of how to properly run and maintain a walk-behind power trowel.

1. Review basic finishing steps to install a steel-troweled floor
2. Identify when & how to use finishing tools, including a "bump cutter"
3. Explain how to read concrete & know correct timing for each finishing step
4. Describe a walk-behind power trowel operating safely and efficiently
